Daybreak |2024
An animated action short from a group of digital artists, and 3D animators. I recorded a bunch of source foley including metal hits, and cloths for this project, and worked from a spotting sheet iteratively designing detail in tandem with the soundtrack. Prioritised sounds were cinematic focus points and involved mix-cutting layers, and FX-processing.
Death stranding redesign |2025
This redesign was a challenge in contrasting delicate audio with overt stylistic representation. The closeups of the central character provided an opportunity to explore his emotions in the scene by utilising the intricate machinery. The whirrs of the mech opening and trembling symbolise curiosity and fear, while the contrasting creature appearing through a ball of electrical energy. The sound is a mix of very fast filtering of a designed synth, and towel whip-cracks as sweeteners layered in.
The TURNING OF THE TIDE |2025
Self shot and edited, this walkalong video from a part of South Devon’s coastline is intended as an ASMR style reflection of natural beauty, and power. The location sound was entirely unusable due to relentless wind. I took this as a challenge to design and mix SFX and foley with the aim of being seamlessly natural. I aimed to highlight the serenity, sense of calm and dramatic contrast of the landscape.
